A Simple Holiday Cheer!

Greetings!

In 1994, Hired Hands Homecare was humbly small, not yet a year old.  In celebrating the Holidays, we welcomed our Employees and Client to join us for a small Open House in our office.  At the end of the day, one of our most amazing Caregivers presented a most simple and wonderful gift.

She said “Please accept this small token of appreciation.  It has been wonderful working with such great people, and doing such amazing things for the Seniors of our Community.  I don’t have much, but I very much want to present this to you as a gift during this Holiday.”

Every year we light the candle before we turn the lights out in the office, and go celebrate with friends and family.  A simple paper plate, wrapped in Christmas paper, with candles and ornaments.  It means so much, and it has shined brightly for so long.
Twenty three years later, we’re honored to light the candle and celebrate ALL those that we have the honor to work with, and for!

And on that note, we’ll finish with a little Holiday prose:

Twas the week before Christmas, and all through Hired Hands

Not a caregiver was stirring, so quiet, like sand.

The schedules were all done by Brianna with care

Staffed and completed with certainty and flair.

All hoping that no one would call off or get sick,

Knowing they had everything licked!

The clients were all snuggled in their homes, and beds

While visions of caregivers danced in their heads.

Erick networking which he does really well!

Liz being his sidekick and ringing the bells.

Mark in his office working amongst boxes and files,

Kirsten visiting clients through many the miles.

CC looking over resumes some good and bad

Diana working diligently, the best bookkeeper we’ve had.

Yadira processing timecards, current and old

If only caregivers would do as they’re told!!!

When in the conference room, there arose such a clatter

We all sprang from our desks to see just what was the matter.

To the front of the office we all went in a flash

To see what had happened with the big “CRASH!”

Inside was a jolly old man, who said do not fear

Then he showed all of us what was to appear:

A sled filled with new caregivers so lively and quick,

We knew in a moment it’s the Home Care St. Nick!

More rapid than eagles his coursers they came

As he shouted and whistled and called them by name”

On Kathy, on Debbie, and all others too,

Thank you, thank you, for all that you do!
