Moving Forward…

Sonoma fireGreetings Friends and Families,

The past two weeks will be remembered as a time of profound tragedy for our Community.  We’re extremely thankful to CalFire and ALL the first responders for finally getting the fires contained and under control.  We’re also extremely thankful for the safety and well being of all Hired Hands Employees, Families, and Clients.

During the toughest of times, our Management Team, Emergency On-Call Coordinators, and dedicated Caregivers exceeded all expectations in their efforts to keep our Clients as safe and comfortable as possible.   This was particularly impressive over the past two weeks as the situation changed constantly.  Our office operations had to relocate due to power outages.  Families were evacuated multiple times, often to far away locations.  Evacuees even slept in our offices.  Together, we worked around the clock as a focused Team, doing the best we could, under very difficult circumstances.

And now is the time to regroup, heal and rebuild.  Our first priorities are our Employees and our Clients.   We are working diligently to get all of our Employees back to work with schedules and assignments that best suit their needs.  We are also working closely with each Client and Family to make sure we have their needs and schedules properly handled during these changing times.

If anyone wishes to contribute monetarily, Hired Hands is recommending the North Bay Fire Relief Fund, being managed by Redwood Credit Union, and strongly supported by many community leaders.  One hundred percent of donations go directly to service the needs of local fire victims, first responders impacted by the fires, and local kids and schools.  Funds are immediately being disbursed to provide food and supplies, temporary housing, and school clothes, supplies and arrangements for children throughout our Community.  Donations of any amount may be made at any Redwood Credit Union branch, or at redwoodcu.org/NorthBayFireRelief.  On behalf of the Hired Hands family, we kick-started contributions earlier in the week with a donation of $5000 to assist those with immediate needs, and we’ll contribute to our community in many ways to come.

Our Community is strong, and we will get through this together.

Sincerely,
The Hired Hands Homecare Family
